Combined Cadet ForceCombined Cadet Force

The broad function of the Combined Cadet Force is to provide a disciplined organisation within a school so that boys and girls may gain powers of leadership by means of training to promote the qualities of responsibility, self reliance, resourcefulness, endurance and perseverance, as well as a sense of service to the local community.

CCFs, which can only be found in schools, may include cadet sections of all three Services. Here in Yorkshire we have CCF contingents in ten locations:
