Lord-Lieutenant for East Riding of Yorkshire Cadet

Citation

Cadet Sergeant Graham Dixon joined E Company Humberside and South Yorkshire ACF in October 2003. He is an excellent ambassador for his Detachment, Humberside and South Yorkshire ACF and the ACF as a whole. He has developed from a junior Cadet to one of the senior Cadets in his Company and is always enthusiastic, willing and cheerful.

Graham was involved with the administration and successful running of Challenger Company at Annual Camp this summer. The senior Post 4 Star Cadets run a complete Company of 1 Star Cadets with only a handful of adults to act as safety supervisors. The responsibility this places on the senior cadets means that there is no room for any who cannot cope. Sergeant Dixon is one of our Cadets who can cope with this.

Graham seeks to gain a commission in the Regular Army with the Royal Army Medical Corps as a Doctor, there is no doubt that he will be as successful with this as he has been in the Cadet Force.

A Lord-Lieutenant's Certificate is an award of high merit of which a recipient may be justly proud.
It is awarded to a member of the Cadet Force who is considered to have given exceptional service
beyond the normal call of duty.
It is intended to supplement Honours bestowed by HM The Queen in the New Year and Birthday Honours Lists.

The Certificate is in the form of a mounted scroll signed by the Lord-Lieutenant of the County and is generally presented by the Lord-Lieutenant at a ceremony hosted by a local unit.
