Citation

Cadet Sergeant Keith Bryson has been a member of Doncaster Detachment, Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadets for over 4 years. He is an excellent ambassador, always impressive with his enthusiasm, willingness to learn, cheerfulness and ability to work both as an individual and as a team player. He is a knowledgeable cadet who assists his Detachment Commander greatly in the Unit. He has been involved with the administration and running of the Challenger Company at Otterburn Camp this summer, proving his worth under pressure. Outside Cadets he is keen on rugby and swimming and is an advanced scuba diver.

In the community Keith assists on parades and with all fund raising. He has won the South Yorkshire Police Award for his fundraising on their behalf. He is working towards his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. Last year he completed a tough 6 week challenge trip to the Himalayas as a representative of the Army Cadets.

Keith is a pupil at Catherine McAuley School in Doncaster where he is studying for A Levels in maths, physics, science, electronics and IT. His ambition is to join the Army (REME) and hopes to be accepted to train as an avionics technician at Pirbright in Surrey.

A Lord-Lieutenant's Certificate is an award of high merit of which a recipient may be justly proud.
It is awarded to a member of the Cadet Force who is considered to have given exceptional service
beyond the normal call of duty.
It is intended to supplement Honours bestowed by HM The Queen in the New Year and Birthday Honours Lists.

The Certificate is in the form of a mounted scroll signed by the Lord-Lieutenant of the County and is generally presented by the Lord-Lieutenant at a ceremony hosted by a local unit.
