Warrant Officer Class 2 Mick Hutchinson, aged 45, who serves with 4 Yorkshire Regiment, has been in the TA for 16 years. With the TA, he has trained in places such as Belgium, Cyprus, Wales, and Scotland, as well as taking part in a skiing exercise with Headquarters 15 (North East) Brigade in France. He is currently the Company Sergeant Major of Headquarter Company. In civilian life, he is the Quartermaster's Clerk with 212 Field Hospital, Sheffield. Mick said, "I feel very honoured and proud to receive this award. When I left the Royal Artillery after just over 10 years Regular Army service, I had a short period of time where I missed the camaraderie and banter of the Army way of life. I figured I still had something to offer the Forces and knew that the TA had something to offer me - and I was right." |

His training has taken him from Belgium, Cyprus and Latvia as well training in America. He is currently the Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant for the Battalion.
