Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association
Volunteer Reservists could not carry out their important role and train to the high standards of professionalism required without the full co-operation of their employers.
All members of the Reserve Forces undergo rigorous training which develops valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, effective communication and organisational ability. This can lead to improved performance in the workplace, with transferable attributes that include the ability to work under pressure, reliability, self-confidence and a determination to succeed.
The Armed Forces rely increasingly on the Volunteer Reserve Force, and those who join should expect to be mobilised at least once in their military career.
There are over 630 ‘supportive employers’ across Yorkshire and the Humber employing reservists.
