Cadet forces pay tribute to our carers

Cadets and cadet force adult volunteers from across Yorkshire have been paying tribute to carers by saluting them at 8pm every Thursday evening.

The salute has become a regular fixture in units’ weekly schedules and was the brainchild of Humberside and South Yorkshire ACF’s Lt Col Fred Owen whose idea quickly grew into a national salute from country’s entire ACF. The Sea Cadets and Air Cadets also take part.

Units have also been continuing to ‘keep the flame’ alive with lots of virtual activities that give cadets the chance to catch up with friends from their units and continue their studies for a range of qualifications.
