SEVENTEEN-year-old Emilija Skirpstaite is living proof that being a cadet is all about teamwork!
Emilija is pictured raising money by bagpacking at her local supermarket alongside fellow cadets from Scunthorpe Detachment.
But although the ten cadets worked all day to raise £750, only three of them will benefit directly from all the hard work.
That’s because the cadets were raising the money to send five fellow cadets on an overseas trip of a lifetime with Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force. Cadet Harry Lyons (14), Cadet Eve Gurbutt (14) and Cadet Kay Mills (14) ), are three of five cadets from the town chosen to go on the visit which costs £750 per cadet and will be to either Cyprus or the USA.
Emilija said “We are very much a family and were more than happy to pull together to help our friends achieve their target”
