Meet the newest HM Lord-Lieutenant Cadets!


Meet cadets George Gohl and Sophie Harder who have both received the highest honour a cadet can get – appointment as a Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant Cadet.

Air cadet George, aged 18, of Willerby, Hull, is doing a Software Degree Apprenticeship at BAE Systems and is a former  pupil of Wolfreton School, Willerby.

First duty by new Lord-Lieutenant

The cadet from 872 (Hull West) Squadron was given his new role in the first duty performed by the new HM Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire James Dick OBE.

Able Cadet Sophie, aged 15, of Wakefield Sea Cadets, is a pupil of Kettlethorpe High School in Wakefield.

She received her appointment from HM Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Ed Anderson.

The presentations were made at the RFCA’s association meeting in York.

Reserve Forces
