Estates Admin Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer within the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Yorkshire and The Humber.
This is a key position in the Estates Team with management support. Applicants must have an organised approach to work, proven people skills and a polite and professional phone manner. You will be responsible for:
Performing an YH RFCA ‘helpdesk’ function for the Estates Team
Handling and prioritising reported building faults
Providing administrative support for the Estate Team’s two Surveyors
Organising meetings and taking minutes
Proof reading tender documents
Other Office administration tasks when requested
As part of a small professional team, the post holder must be self- motivated, highly organised and able to identify and prioritise targets. Strong IT skills, especially familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You should hold a full clean driving licence and use of a pool car for business travel is provided.
The position is an E Grade Crown Servant post based in York and attracts a starting salary of £19,559. Working hours are 37 hours per week but some flexibility may be required. Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave (excluding public holidays) rising to 30 days after 5 years’, service. The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Council of RFCAs Pension Scheme. The appointment is for a probationary period of 6 months in the first instance.
