Cadet Office Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cadet Office Manager with the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Yorkshire and The Humber.
This is a key position in Yorkshire (North & West) ACF with senior management support. Applicants must have an understanding of the Cadet Forces. You will be responsible for:
Management, of the running of the general office(s)
Line management of two staff
Providing direct support to the volunteer staff in planning and administration
Coordination and forward planning
Liaison with outside agencies and the chain of command
As part of a small professional team, the post holder must be self- motivated, highly organised and able to identify and prioritise targets. Strong IT skills, especially familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
A completed application form (which must be accompanied by a CV) is required by no later than Friday 3 November 2017. Interviews will take place in mid-November. The successful applicant will be required to start in the New Year. Familiarisation with WESTMINSTER and JPA is desirable.
The position is a D Grade Crown Servant post based in Strensall, near York and attracts a starting salary of £24,934. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week but some flexibility may be required. Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave (excluding public holidays) rising to 30 days after 5 years’, service. The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Council of RFCAs Pension Scheme. The appointment is for a probationary period of six months in the first instance.
