Seventeen-year-old Haydn Bowen from Spen Valley detachment is taking the next leap in his cadet career as he receives a well-deserved promotion to the rank of Cadet Sergeant.
In June 2014, I got the opportunity to join a group of Regular Army musicians on a visit to Malawi, South Africa and Botswana, as part of a Short Term Training Team (STTT). We functioned as a brass quintet and a woodwind quartet (with a brass bassoon!) and had a percussionist. This STTT was the first of its kind, in that we travelled to different countries, much of it by road.
Two seventeen year olds from Bradford detachment in C Company, Yorkshire (North & West) Army Cadet Force are taking the next step on the promotion ladder after receiving well-deserved promotions to the rank of Cadet Sergeant.
One cadet who takes a firm grasp of the Army Cadet Force’s motto, “To Inspire to Achieve” is fourteen-year-old Jack Brown from Scarborough detachment in A Company, Yorkshire (North & West) Army Cadet Force.
