Deputy Commandant – Driffield
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Deputy Commandant at Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force , based in Driffield. The County supports over 1,000 cadets and approximately 250 adult volunteers across Humberside and South Yorkshire.
This is a voluntary appointment, and the successful candidate will be commissioned under the Cadet Forces Commission, if not already commissioned. The post carries the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Remuneration is available for up to 28 days per year under the Volunteer Allowance Scheme, with additional days authorised at the discretion of the County Commandant in exceptional circumstances. Home-to-Duty and Motor Mileage Allowances may also be claimed while on official duty.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must hold (or have held) a commission in the Regular Army, Army Reserve, or Army Cadet Force.
- The initial appointment is for three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension.
- ACF applicants must confirm that they have the permission of their County Commandant to apply.
