South and West Yorkshire Wing of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets have bade a fond farewell to Squadron Leader Andy Blaikie who has retired from uniform service after 53 years.
After joining the service in 1968, he has commanded a number of squadrons along with serving in various roles for the wing.
Chairman of the RFCA David Rhodes said: “Our cadet force adult volunteers are the beating heart of the cadet service so it is with our enormous gratitude that we pay tribute to Andy Blaikie for his unstinting contribution over many, many years and wish him a very happy retirement.”
