The RFCA is delighted that a record number of employers across Yorkshire and the Humber have won Silver Awards in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
Seventeen employers won the award for the first time while a further nine had their existing Silver Awards revalidated by the Ministry of Defence – bringing the total number of Silver award winners in the year to 26.
“On behalf of the many employers that pull out all the stops to support the military, we couldn’t be happier that Yorkshire and the Humber has achieved a record haul of Silver Awards this year,” said the RFCA’s head of engagement Phil Walton.
“It’s a fantastic tribute to the contribution these employers make to members of their workforce who serve in reserve or cadet forces or who are veterans.
“Each of these winners deserve our most profound thanks on behalf of the military for all that they do … as well as a big congratulations on their well-deserved honour.”
