The RFCA YH Estates Team is pleased to have completed successful deliverables through the Local Infrastructure Improvement Fund, also known as LIIF. Efforts focussed on Carlton Barracks in Leeds where projects contributed to the enhancing the facilities and services.
Recently and successfully completed projects include:
- Carlton Bks – New drill hall liner for LUOTC – Requested to upgrade the drill hall for unit evnts and ceremonial functions.
- Carlton Bks – New bike shelter for 269 Bty – Requested for additional bike storage for the reserves. by the unit but for use by all units on site, providing a secure and safe space for alternate means of transport.
- Carlton Bks – New kitchen / servery for 53 MI – Requested to upgrade the kitchen facilities for the permanent staff, allowing for an updated shared space for food and drink preparation

“We have recently come to the end of quite a number of our 2023/24 LIIF funded projects. This is open to all Army Reserve Centres in Yorkshire and Humber to bid for funding for any infrastructure improvements in order to improve the site and ultimately improve the experience and facilities for our Army Reserves.
“The team is pleased to have facilitated upgrades to this centre and hope that these recent modifications make a difference to where our reservists meet, train and work.”
