The RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber are proud to announced that eight employers from the region have won the highest award possible for their support for the military.
They have each won Gold Awards under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme for supporting staff and customers who are reserves, cadet force adult volunteers, veterans and full-time regulars.
The winning employers are:
Extra leave for reserves
Nationally, 140 employers achieved Gold Awards for supporting the armed forces community by providing 10 extra paid days leave for reservists and having supportive HR policies in place for veterans, reserves and cadet force adult volunteers, as well as spouses and partners of those serving in the Armed Forces.
Loving the journey
Director of Hull-based civil engineering company MB Roche Daniel Roche was delighted by his firm’s success in achieving Gold. He said:
“For us as a small family firm this means the world to use and more than winning a contract or being placed on a framework. It highlights our vision to do things for the outcome rather than the income.
“We are not a family with a military background but have loved every moment on our journey from offering work experiences opportunities to veterans and cadets all the way up to attending prestigious events at the Tower of London.”
