Reservist Nick Clegg-Brearton has been helping to prepare military drivers from RAF Leeming for deployment to the Falkland Islands.
Nick combines his role as a corporal in 609 (West Yorkshire) Squadron with a career as a transport manager for Harrogate Borough Council.
Expert instructors
He was among a team of expert military driving instructors helping to give seven regulars from the Yorkshire RAF base the skills they need to tackle the Falklands’ challenging road conditions.
“The knowledge and experience that Nick brings, particularly about civilian legislation and instructional techniques, were priceless.” said Flight Lieutenant John Roylance.
“His input during this training shows just how much value reservists can add to the wider force.”
