Christian works for the Cabinet Office in his day job, but in his free time, he is Petty Officer Freer with Harrogate Sea Cadets. Christian served in the Royal Navy and in his role as a cadet force adult volunteer, he gives back to his community teaching young people about sailing, rowing and life skills.
Through his volunteer work, he has seen the cadets grow in confidence and develop into knowledgeable young adults. He enjoys passing knowledge on to the cadets so they can gain qualifications whilst having a great time learning on the water!
