Contractors are resuming work at key sites across the RFCA estate.
At the end of March, all but emergency repairs and mandatory maintenance work were suspended in line with the Government’s Covid-19 response.
Adhering to Government guidelines
However, with the Governments revised guidance, the RFCA’s surveyors have been working with contractors and health and safety experts to agree new ways of working to ensure tradespeople can safely resume their work while adhering to Covid-19 guidelines.
In Harrogate, decorators, floorers and electricians are working to complete the first stage of the Cadet Centre’s renovation, with each trade scheduled to attend at different times to ensure social distancing.
New cadet centre
Enabling works are also underway at Driffield ahead of the installation of the new, Bastion armouries. Groundwork is currently being done for the development of the new Cadet Centre in Barton on Humber.
Work has now resumed at Keighley Drill Hall and is due to start again at Wolfe Armoury in the next few weeks.
