Despite commemorations being different this year, across the region reserves and cadets found new ways to honour those who gave their tomorrow for our today.
Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force and South and West Yorkshire Wing, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, were among those who held virtual Remembrance Day services while units like Scarborough Sea Cadets showcased individual cadets showing their respects with a salute during the two-minute silence at 11am.
Artwork and fund-raising
At 148 (Barnsley) Squadron, cadets produced artwork to reflect what they felt about Remembrance season while Malton Army Cadets, whose Daniella Recchia is pictured above (picture courtesy of Gazette and Herald Newspaper), supported efforts to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Meanwhile, members of The Band of the Yorkshire Regiment were among reservists who took part in a digital service of Remembrance that was broadcast live on Facebook shortly before 11am on Remembrance Sunday.
