All four of Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenants of Yorkshire paid tribute to some of the region’s most forces-friendly employers at a virtual ceremony this week.
The organisations and businesses were awarded a prestigious Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award for their efforts in supporting serving regular and reserve soldiers and cadet force adult volunteers as well as veterans and their families.
As well as the Lord-Lieutenants, joining them at the virtual ceremony were representatives of the region’s Armed Forces and the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Yorkshire and the Humber, which organises the event.
