The RFCA joined forces with City of York Council and York St John University to raise awareness of the Armed Forces Covenant and the value and benefits Defence personnel can bring to employers at a special networking event in York.
New companies such as Click Digital Solutions and Gimlet Associates Limited chose to sign up to the covenant at which the Leader of City of York Council and Armed Forces Champion Cllr Keith Aspden was a guest speaker.
Keith said: “It is incredibly important for employers of all sizes to recognise the skills and training that reservists, cadet force adult volunteers and veterans gain, and make sure they are treated fairly – both in the workplace, as service-users and residents. I was delighted to help champion the cause at this event.”
Companies that signed up to the covenant were:
- Click Digital Solutions, Hull
- Gimlet Associates, York
- Queen Ethelburga’s College, York
- The HR People, York
- The National Horseracing College, Doncaster
- Volta Compliance Ltd, Leeds
