A number of regional employers could go for the top Gold award in this year’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme awards.
The interested organisations have put forward expressions of interest in applying for a Gold Award with the deadline for final submissions due on March 15.
Build on the success
“The Employer Recognition Scheme is a fantastic way of recognising the region’s top forces-friendly employers and the Gold and Silver award ceremonies are always a highlight in our calendar,” said head of engagement Phil Walton.
“We’re hoping to build on the success of previous years and look forward to celebrating with the winners later in the year.”

Awarding board
The deadline for applications for a Silver Award is on 19 April and a Regional Awarding Board will be convened to ensure the submissions are scrutinised on behalf of the Ministry of Defence before the awards are announced in the summer.
The Silver Award celebrations are currently planned to take place on 14 September with a venue to be confirmed while the Gold Award presentations will be held in November.
