The RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber is joining forces with the North of England RFCA to host a virtual Armed Forces Covenant signing to mark Armed Forces Week.
At least six employers from the Yorkshire and Humber region are due to attend the event which will take place on Reserves Day – Wednesday, 23 June.
The Royal Navy’s Commodore Phil Waterhouse will give the keynote address with organisations pledging or renewing their support to the military by signing the Covenant.
“Last year, a record number of organisations in Yorkshire and The Humber signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant and we hope that this event will be a fantastic kick-start to another great year,” said RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber’s head of engagement Phil Walton.
Those signing include:
- Beverley- based Bartoline Ltd
- Humberside Engineering Training Association Ltd
- Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering Ltd
- York-based Vet Partners
City of York Council and Tetra Tech, who are both Gold Award winners under the Government’s Employer Recognition Scheme, will also re-sign the Covenant.

Thursday, July 1 – sponsors of Hull Kingston Rovers
Monday, July 5 – sponsors of Hull Football Club
Friday, July 9 – Hull Football Club in the presence of 4th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment commanding officer
Sunday July 11, Hull Kingston Rovers in the presence of 150 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps commanding officer.
